1. Disney got in a lot of trouble because of the character "Jiminy Cricket" in the 1940 animated movie "Pinocchio" after animal rights activists complained that crickets were unfairly represented in the movie. They claimed that, at the start of the movie, the fact that he is in tatty clothes that are poorly patched up perpetuates the negative stereotype that all crickets are lazy and refuse to work, thus resulting in their shabby looking appearance. In 1986 Disney offered a full apology but decided to keep the scene in the movie as a way to educate future generations on species-ism during the early 1900's.
2. Crickets have an incredibly poor sense of humor, this explains why their trademark chirping laughter can be heard when ever someday tells a bad joke.
3. Before the Great aphid war of 1872, crickets and grasshoppers were nearly inseparable, however after several devastating battles stemming from a disagreement about over hunting their prey their populations were decimated. Whilst the UN has regularly tried to hold peace talks between the two species no agreement has been reached and the conflicts still continue to this day (67 years after the war officially ended).
4. Crickets have wings and are able to fly but the vast majority are scared of heights and instead choose to jump around, which can also be terrifying for them if they misjudge the jump and go a little higher than expected. On a side note, this is also the reason crickets don't choose the window seat on a plane.
5. There is a lot of controversy then it comes the JFK assassination in 1963, with theories such as a "second shooter" and "the babushka lady" but none are as confusing as "the grassy knoll cricket theory". In late 2009 after studying some of the few video tapes of the assassination, Kodak engineer John Loghammer made a potentially earth shattering discovery. After using the patented zoom and enhance technique that he created in the early 2000's he noticed what appeared to be a small insect of somekind lurking in the grass. After countless hours of zooming and enhancing he finally realised just what it was he was looking at, a cricket.
This raises so many questions. Who was the cricket? What was he doing there? Why hasn't he come forward? Where is he now? We may never know the answers to these questions, and perhaps that's what makes it so damn intriguing.

Getting a 125cc motorcycle
I'm not a driver, when I was 16 I was diagnosed with epilepsy, I don't seem to suffer from it as much as a lot of folks do which is fortunate but even so it comes with plenty of negativity. I can't become a pilot, I can't drive a lorry, I'll be on medication for the rest of my life as a precaution and every time I have a seizure I am disqualified from driving for a year. The one thing that hit me the hardest was the fact that i couldn't join the military, I was led to believe by my tutor that I could and so I decided to take a public service course with the intention of eventually becoming an officer in the royal army military police. Regardless of how I feel about the military now and if i think it would have been the right move, I'll never forget how hard it hit me when i found out.
But the point of this particular blog post is to share my intention of buying a motorcycle, as i said earlier I'm not a driver but I do have a provisional license and this enables me to take my CBT (compulsory basic training) and immediately start riding a 125cc motorcycle.
I hate not being able to get around, or feeling like a mooch relying a friends for a lift whenever we go anywhere because I am unable to repay that favor. Because I am between jobs at the moment, I hope to be working again before the end of the month, a 125 cc motorcycle would provide the perfect way to get around in a very cost effective way.
In fact for what I need a 125cc motorcycle would only cost around £40 a month to run. The 125cc motorcycle with this license does come with some negatives however such as the typical motorcycle downsides of space and safety but also a lack of speed, inability to ride on the motorway, poor acceleration and the need to wear L plates. I will also not be able to carry passengers, I'm a 21 year old who doesn't drink anymore, so I could have came in very useful to my friends at the weekend but alas they will have to walk home from the club.
What are your opinions of 125cc motorcycles or motorcycles in general? I would love to hear from anyone in the comments who can recommend a good bike.

Webcam models, right or wrong?
The subject of webcam modelling is a controversial one, as is any topic related to adult content. On the one hand you have those who say that its is exploitation and it degrades women, others go as far as too say it is dangerous both to the mental and physical health of the models.
There are some valid points there, lets face it, its not for everybody and it can leave the performers feeling degraded if its not something that you would usually indulge yourself in, but the fact is the adult entertainment industry is all about objectification and that doesn't have to be a bad be a bad thing, objectification is in essence is just desire I think that being desired is empowering if anything. People of all types and creeds choose to put on shows on these websites, but groups who speak out against them tend to only focus on the argument that "women are being objectified" when there are men, women and transgender models on these sites, and all of them choose to put themselves there ( on any reputable website anyway).
As I said earlier its not for everybody, but I would ask the following question, why would anyone who was so uncomfortable with things of a sexual nature put themselves in a position like this in the first place? To do such a thing is lunacy in my opinion, and these people should not be trying the limit the opportunities of people who DO choose to do so.
When it comes to the argument of physical health being in danger I find this argument absolutely ridiculous, if it is so dangerous to put your face out there the why do we not worry about the well being of the weather man or the children we see in television shows on CBBC? The answer to that question is "we aren't dishing out their address whenever they appear on screen" and neither would a sensible webcam model.
Many webcam models make an absolute fortune doing what they do, much more then they ever could have made doing the mundane 9 to 5 routine most of us are stuck in. Some use the money they earn (which can be in excess of £100,000 a year) to fund further education, or simply creating a comfortable life free from work rotas, as they work the hours they choose on the days the choose, with no minimum or maximum.
I'm a very shy guy who is not comfortable with his body, and I am not ashamed to say that i admire those who have the courage to put on these show and make better life for themselves.

What a wonderful day!
Well it is for me at least and I'll tell you why, it's because I have taken the plunge and made the decision to start a blog (finally) although I guess other than that I guess you could say it has been a pretty uneventful day.
But just because MY day has has been routine doesn't mean there aren't wonderful and scary things going on all over the world, you yourself may have even reached a huge milestone in your life today and I hope that this becomes a place that I can share all my worthless opinions on events great and small that happen all around us and I hope you'll join me. I want to create a community here that houses people with all sorts of opinions no matter how popular or indeed unpopular on all sorts of stories that pop up around the web and the worlds media.
I'll be back later on today with my opinions on a story that has yet to happen and I hope that you will join in with me and come along for the ride.
